Your First Pergola Showroom Sample: What Should a Dealer Order?

Plan a paid pergola showroom sample around target customers, installation practice, demonstrations, sample acceptance and a repeatable quotation process.

Quick answer

Order a sample that demonstrates the configuration your customers are likely to buy, and use it to test your own survey, installation and service process. Start with a clear customer profile and an acceptance checklist. A large display with every accessory is not automatically the most useful first order.

Choose a customer before choosing the sample

A showroom serving homeowners needs to explain comfort, roof movement and everyday use. A contractor-facing display may need more emphasis on frame connections, access and installation details. Decide whether your first sales opportunity is a small terrace, a hospitality project or a replacement for an existing shade structure.

Choose the model by the intended roof function and project needs. JY180 and JY220 are louvered model paths to compare; JY280 demonstrates a folding retractable roof. Do not promise that the displayed module dimensions or exposure suitability apply to every customer site.

Treat the sample as a complete pilot order

Ask for a dimensioned drawing, component list, control configuration and shipping plan. Identify who will prepare the display location, receive the shipment and assemble the system. Record installation questions while your team works through the approved instructions.

JY Home Shade samples need to be purchased, and orders start from one set. Installation videos and marketing material are available. Confirm the material relevant to your selected model and the language your team requires before scheduling a launch.

Write acceptance checks before the shipment arrives

Check package references against the packing list, then record visible damage or missing items before assembly. During installation, document unclear steps and the tools or access needed. At commissioning, follow the supplied procedure to check roof travel, controls and ordered accessories.

A showroom sample should also be serviceable. Verify how the motor or control equipment can be reached and how components are identified for future enquiries. Store the final drawing and revision with the display record so your sales team does not quote from an outdated setup.

Turn the display into a useful sales conversation

Build a short demonstration around what the customer wants to do: shade a table, open the roof, add privacy or manage rain. Show the limitations as clearly as the features. An open-sided pergola is not automatically a sealed room, and an accessory in the showroom is not automatically included in every quotation.

After the first enquiries, record the most common dimensions, objections and accessory choices. Use those observations to discuss a repeat-order specification with the factory. Agree any display branding, commercial terms or territory arrangements in writing; purchasing a sample alone does not establish exclusivity.

Your next-step checklist

Questions buyers ask

Can I get a free showroom pergola?

JY Home Shade showroom samples must be purchased. Ask for the current sample quotation and the support materials included.

Does a sample purchase give me an exclusive territory?

No automatic exclusivity should be assumed. Territory scope and any obligations need a separate written agreement.
