Ask for the complete CE-related document, then compare the manufacturer or responsible party, product description, covered model, declared standards, issue date and signatory with the exact system in the quotation. Confirm separately whether local structural, electrical, wind, snow, foundation or permit requirements apply. A CE mark does not replace project-specific engineering or approval.
What buyers should request
- The relevant declaration or certificate file, not only a logo or cropped screenshot.
- The product and model description covered by the document.
- The manufacturer or responsible economic operator named on it.
- The referenced standards, report numbers and issue date where applicable.
- Supporting test reports or technical information when needed for due diligence.
- Motor, controller or electrical documentation relevant to the supplied configuration.
Six points to match against the order
| Check | What must match | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Named entity and supplier relationship | A document for an unrelated company may not support the order |
| Product | Pergola type and intended function | A component document is not automatically a complete-system document |
| Model | Quoted profile or covered model family | Different systems may use different evidence |
| Configuration | Manual, motorized or retractable operation and accessories | Electrical and mechanical scope can change |
| Date | Current issue and revision status | Old documents may reference superseded products |
| Destination | Importer and local authority requirements | Project obligations vary by market and installation |
What a CE document does not prove by itself
It does not automatically approve a chosen span for every wind or snow region, design the foundations, confirm wall capacity, grant a local building permit or verify the installer. Those responsibilities depend on the project location and contract. Ask the local engineer, authority, importer or compliance adviser which evidence is required.
How to discuss documents with a supplier
- Send the model and configuration you intend to buy.
- Ask which document applies to that exact system.
- Request the full file and relevant supporting evidence for review.
- Record any gap between the document and the quotation.
- Resolve destination-specific requirements before production.
- Keep approved files with the order drawing and commercial documents.
JY Home Shade document position
CE documentation is available for applicable product and project review. Availability should not be read as a blanket statement that every configuration is automatically accepted in every market. Send the intended model, electrical specification and destination so the relevant file can be identified.
This page is a purchasing checklist, not legal or certification advice. Buyers remain responsible for checking current destination rules and project-specific obligations with qualified local parties.
