A bioclimatic pergola uses adjustable roof louvers to respond to changing outdoor conditions. Tilt the blades to introduce daylight and natural ventilation, reduce direct sun at peak hours, or close the roof when rain protection is needed.
Unlike a fixed patio cover, the roof is part of the comfort system. The aluminum blades, perimeter frame, gutters and posts work together as one structure. Bioclimatic Pergola Project Planning
For a custom bioclimatic pergola, the buyer does not need to select a JY model before contacting the factory. Start with the required total dimensions, installation type and acceptable post positions. The project can then be divided into suitable modules and matched to the lightest appropriate structural series.
Do not judge the pergola only by the total project size. First decide whether the customer needs one large open bay or accepts intermediate shared posts between modules.
For each rectangular module, compare its longer dimension with the model's maximum long-side reference and its shorter dimension with the maximum short-side reference.
If a larger project can be divided into compliant modules, the existing structural series can still be used. Move to a heavier series when fewer intermediate posts are required or when the individual bay itself remains too large.

The overall project may be 60 m², but the structural decision should be based on the individual bay sizes created inside that area.
Each bay is evaluated as 5 × 4 m. This module size is within the reference of JY180 and JY220.
If the design requires fewer post lines, the individual bays become larger and a heavier structural series may be required.
Project Decision
Using smaller connected bays can reduce required single-bay capacity and may allow a more economical structural platform.
When the design demands long uninterrupted views and fewer posts, use a heavier series with greater single-module capacity.
